Coreen-Carroll-18Fraulein Chef aka Chef Coreen is based in San Francisco but originally born and raised in Germany and grew up in the kitchen honing her skills with her grandmother and mother. After getting her BA in International Business, she realized early on that a corporate lifestyle was not for her.

Coreen moved to SF in 2012 and attended the San Francisco Cooking School and since has held a variety of food related positions in SF to expand her knowledge of the artisanal arts. After a stint as a butchers apprentice at 4505 Meats, she immediately began working with the underground pop-up restaurant Sub Culture Dining Series by Chef Russell Jackson and as a teaching assistant at SFCS and The San Francisco Cheese School.

At the Cheese School she continued to develop her education in cheese from around the world. She spent countless hours studying hundreds of cheeses and the best ways to pair them with beer and wine.

A veteran to cannabis, she decided to use that knowledge and skillset to transition into the cannabis world. She was cofounder and executive pastry chef of Madame Munchie (Medicated French Macarons); a cannabis edible company that has achieved multiple awards including the High Times Cannabis Cup for best edible.

In early 2015 Coreen and her fiancé Ryan founded The Cannaisseur Series : a cannabis pop up restaurant that focuses on food and cannabis pairings while combining light education surrounding the current cannabis climate in California. It’s a place for patients of cannabis to come consume safely in a relaxed environment. With plenty to eat, drink and consume.

Other current projects for FrauleinChef include recipe developing and food styling at Chowhound.com, chef instructor at SF Cooking School, a Cannabis caterer for private events as well as a white label edible manufacturer for various dispensary retailers.
